Marry Me Chicken Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 bone-in chicken, cut into pieces
- 4 tbsp. heavy cream
- 2 tbsp. chicken broth
- 2 tbsp. chopped sun-dried tomatoes
- 2 tbsp. grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1 tsp. fresh thyme leaves
- 5 fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- salt and pepper
- Preparation 15 min
- Cooking time 35 min
To begin, preheat the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, Th.6 (180°C). In a casserole dish, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Brush your chicken pieces with the remaining vegetable oil and season them with salt. Then sear them in the pan, skin side down. Allow 5 minutes on each side until evenly browned, then set aside.
In the pan juices, sauté the garlic, thyme and red pepper for 3 minutes. Add the chicken broth, crème fraîche, sun-dried tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. Season with a little salt and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir and place the chicken pieces in the pan, skin side up.
Place in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes to finish cooking, add pepper and serve your “Marry me” chicken immediately!
If necessary, exchange the casserole for a large oven-safe pan. Another lighter option: cook the chicken whole, remove the cooking juices once it has returned to the casserole, and bone it before serving.
