Tips for an easy whipped cream
Turning cream into whipped cream is easy! You just need to know these tips to make it every time. Before preparing your whipped cream, put the bowl of your mixer, its beaters and the liquid cream in the freezer for 10 minutes. If you don’t have time, place your bowl in a larger container filled with ice cubes. As for the choice of cream, opt for a full cream or at least a low-fat one. Your cream must contain enough fat (30% minimum) for it to set effectively. Useful tips to avoid waffling!
The recipe of the whipped cream for approximately 250 g of whipped cream:
- 25 cl of very cold liquid or whipping cream
- 30 to 50 g powdered sugar according to taste
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar, about 7 g
- 1 packet of whipped cream fix (optional)
Technique: For the whipped cream to set ideally, it is very important that the cream used is liquid (therefore neither thick nor light), and very cold, as are all the utensils used.
Tip: Instead of a whisk, those in a hurry can use an electric mixer. Also, the bag of whipped cream greatly accelerates the setting of the cream. You can find it in the pastry products section of any supermarket.
Step 1: A few minutes before starting, place the utensils (container, whisk) in the freezer or refrigerator. In a second container (or a sink), pour cold water up to halfway up and ice cubes.
Step 2: Place the first container in the ice cube container and pour in the liquid cream. Start beating for 1 minute. The cream starts to foam up little by little.
Step 3; Mix the sugars and possibly the bag of whipped cream, then add them to the cream.
Step 4: Beat the cream vigorously for several minutes. It takes about 7 to 10 minutes, but half that time if you use a whipped cream maker or an electric mixer.
Step 5 : The whipped cream is ready as soon as a small point called “bird’s beak” is formed when you take out the whisk. Rectify in sugar according to the tastes.
Step 6 : Place the whipped cream in a piping bag to garnish all your desserts. Effect guaranteed!
